Tom Lowenstein OAM

Founding Director

Tom Lowenstein OAM has now retired from all involvement with Lowensteins  but was one of Australia’s most respected tax accountants and financial advisors whose association with the arts extended over 40 years.

He had made numerous submissions and had continuing negotiations with the ATO and other Government departments to secure better conditions for artists generally.

Tom had an extensive history of contribution to the arts in Victoria and Australia. He has been a board member of the Museum of Modern Art at Heide, a founding board member of Vi$copy, and a Foundation Board member of 200 Gertrude Street.

In June 2016, he was awarded the Order of Australia OAM for his contribution to the visual arts and the community.

All of us here at Lowensteins have benefited from his wisdom, mentorship and leadership over the many years of his involvement with the company.
